|Driver’s Grid Responsibilities:
When your class is called to the grid for either qualifying or your main event, you are expected there when called. If you are not in the grid when the remaining karts are ready, flagman will motion the field onto the track and he will give them a two lap sign. If you are not on the track before the two laps are completed, the flagman will start the race. Once he has started the race, even if there is a caution before a lap is completed, you may not enter the track for competiton. If you enter the track you will immediately be black flagged.
|Starting the Races:
The FLAGMAN will start the race. Once the karts leave the grid, no pit member may go on the track. All pit members must leave the grid area so the next classes may enter pit road to line up for their race. If there is a spin out before the first lap is completed, the field will restart the race in single file. Once a lap is completed and a caution flag is displayed, all competitors should raise their arm to slow the field down. Do not race back to the flag. You will be lined up for a restart by the previous lap completed. If you bring out a caution on a start, no matter whether a lap has been completed or not, you must go to the rear of the field.
Exception: Any Kid class driver is allowed 1 person to assist them if they have a problem during a caution.
On restarts the leader of the race will start the race at a specified place on the track that will be discussed at drivers meeting. Anyone passing another competitor on a restart prior to the leader starting will be BLACK FLAGGEDimmediately.
It will be left up to the flagman to decide if a caution is needed. If a kart is out of harms way, no caution will be given. Once a kart has spun off the track, do not come back on to the track and stop to create a caution. If you do, you will be immediately BLACK FLAGGED and be removed from the race track.
Once the race is completed, all karts must exit the race track at the scale house to be weighed. You must weigh to receive points no matter where you finish even if you leave the track due to mechanical problems or a wreck. The top three karts will be held in the impound area after the race and will be cleared by the tech inspector. All drivers in the Stock 400 and 425 classes must weigh 200 lbs. Driver may not have any foreign weigh on himself to reach weigh limit such as ankle weights or weight belts.
All protests must be made at the scale house at the end of any race, heat or main. Once you leave the scale area you may not protest any kart. Fee to protest is $100.00 and $50.00 to accept a protest.
